Well, it came here as well. Corona virus. As long as we were looking at what was going on in China, it didn’t really bother us … But now it has settled here as well. It has changed our lives. What was taken for granted is now limited because of one’s own health and that of others. Hugging my kid who came from Ljubljana, talking to friends, having a coffee in the warm spring sun… everything is at a distance.
And then the obligatory gloves and masks came. With regard to gloves, I can’t really help but with regard to masks, it’s on! First, for myself, for friends; fun, multi-coloured, formal, informal. Some were donated, some people donated money for the material. Why not try dotted, optimistic pink, red, blue, green… Even though the masks don’t carry necessary certificates, they are still useful for visiting the shop, pharmacy, post office…
In these times when it is harder to bring a smile to your lips, how are you with laughter, the joyful one, straight from the heart? Can you do it? Me, I was grabbed by a strong, uncreative fever. The masks were a priority. I was happy if the colour of the basic fabric changed.
What will I most remember about the corona pandemic?
The masks, the gloves for the store, the divine hikes and walks and a really devastating toothache. The dentist on duty helped me remotely with two doses of antibiotics. I still stay above the sea of pain with pain pills. And you will not believe it, I can hardly wait for the dental offices to open again.
Come on, let’s go, let’s go. Are we going to overcome this nasty virus? We are! And take advantage of each other’s time, play board games, go out in nature, where there aren’t too many people. Read a good book. Say hello from afar, call on the phone, go to a grocery store for the elderly? Again recognize humanity as a virtue, not only money, capital, profit?
Stay healthy! Sending you positive thoughts, energy, laughter and in these times a virtual hug,
Martina ?
